About the event
Welcome to SheShreds Bike School application! Rides are held weekly on TUESDAYS (except on holiday short weeks) at 6:30 PM ready to ride!Â
All applications are subject to approval. This is to be sure that:Â
- everyone has a chance to apply
- participants understand the instructional nature of this program (Please, please, please read the Bike School page on our website carefully)Â
- participants are appropriate for the groups ability levels (no advanced group - if you are an advanced lady shredders please email us and ask us where would be a good fit) Â
- Our SheShreds Cancelation & Refund Policy and COVID-19 procedures and plans have been reviewedÂ
80 applications are available for 42 spots - once we reach 80 applications, we begin a waitlist. Applications from those new to SheShreds will be prioritized. All applications will recieve a response by April 18th, 2021.  Selected applicants will be sent a link for secure payment through the SheShreds website Member Area.  Ladies with applications not selected will be contacted to ask if they would like to be placed on the waitlist (ahead of those unable to submit an application) or for other options (clinics, private/group lessons, other amazing ride groups in the city). If COVID restirctions prevent us from having rides, we will hold off from sending the secure payment link.Â
First ride of the year is May 4th (Ride Topic: Saftey First!) and our ride frequency changes from weekly until end of September 2021 for our Graduation party, to monthly through the winter (either a ride or a clinic), until March 22nd, 2022!Â
Locations span from Terwillegar to Kinsmen to Goldbar to the Sherwood Park Bike park, exploring the entire Edmonton river valley so a consistent form of transportation option is required. We vary our terrain from pump tracks, wood bridges, dirt trails, gravel grinds and dirt jumps, therefore hybrid or road bikes are not recommended and a mountain bike is required (ridgid, hardtails and dual suspension are all fine). Instructors with specific mountain bike certification lead three ability groups (Ninjas, Rock Stars, Hot Shots) every week. Throughout the season, classes build upon one another. Monthly rides are non-instructional and are just fun rides!Â
For so much more important information (ability levels, insurance, cancelation policy, COVID-19 procedures and plans for changing restrictions), please check out the Bike School page on the SheShreds website: https://www.sheshredsyeg.com/bike-school
And buckle up! Our application is beefy but we want to know all the important stuff to get you in the right place in our little #girlsquadÂ
