Hot Shots Clinic
We learn all the skills to get you into the next level of biking: bike-body separation, using our suspension (using stunts) and the mother of all skills: cornering!
Time & Location
Aug 07, 2021, 1:00 p.m. – 4:00 p.m.
Emily Murphy Park, 11904 Emily Murphy Park Rd NW, Edmonton, AB T6G 2B6, Canada
About the event
We learn to move separately from the bike and how to direct the bike with speed and our hips (whhhHHhoOoaa). This leads to fast corners and better bike control. Rooty trails and curbs will be conquered by learning to use our fancy suspension and jumps will be jumped by learning that speed… is… our…. Friend! Climbing and descending switchbacks will be worked on and the skills to tackle these challenging trail features will be practiced and conquered! We will have our SheShreds stunts along with us to work on roll downs (where the trail dops away) in progressive steps to get you feeling confident.
This clinic is appropriate for riders who have experience on their mountain bikes, but are looking for a challenge to improve their skills and bike handling while getting faster! Generally experienced intermediates. In order to progress to bigger stunts, you will need to get the go-ahead from our coaches. This one-day clinic is open to the public, but ladies only please. If you identify as female, know you are welcome. Clinic activities are located in Emily Murphy park and not on trails, so no one is left behind and you can always take a break if needed.
This clinic is 3 hours long and all instructors are certified instructors via PMBI or BICP certifications. Groups numbers are determined via safety ratios, but will be no more than 1 instructor to 7 gals. Waivers and COVID-19 screening questionas will be administered electronically prior to the event. No signed waivers = no clinic. NO EXCEPTIONS!
BRING: a working mountain bike, helmet, weather appropriate clothing, bell, gloves, buff/cloth mask, water, personal snack, super rad attitude :)
