Time & Location
Using the skill set developed from time on our bikes and the foundations of body positions, gearing and braking… we advance! We learn to move separately from the bike and how to direct the bike with speed and our hips (whhhHHhoOoaa). This leads to fast corners and better bike control. Rooty trails and curbs will be conquered by learning to use our fancy suspension
and jumps will be jumped by learning that speed… is… our…. Friend! Climbing and descending switchbacks will be worked on and the skills to tackle these challenging trail features will be practiced and conquered! We will have our SheShreds stunts along with us to work on roll downs (where the trail dops away) in progressive steps to get you feeling confident.
This clinic is appropriate for riders who have experience on their mountain bikes, but are looking for a challenge to improve their skills and bike handling while getting faster! Generally experienced beginner to intermediates. In order to progress to bigger stunts, you will need to get the go-ahead from our coaches.
Clinics are 3 hours long and all instructors are certified instructors via Professional Mountain Bike Instructors Association (Level 1). Groups numbers are determined via safety ratios (1:7). Waivers and other forms must be completed when you arrive at the clinic. No signed waivers = no clinic. NO EXCEPTIONS!
BRING: a working mountain bike, helmet, weather appropriate clothing, bell, water, personal snack, super rad attitude :)
Recommended items: gloves, flat pedals, stiff bike shoes. No clips please!
Cancellation policy: Event will be canceled at 10AM the morning of the event if the weather is deemed unsafe or our actions will cause an unacceptable level of damage to the trails/green space. Event will be cancelled at any point during the clinic if lightening is observed. A 50% refund will be offered in the case of a weather cancelation. Otherwise, 100% refund within 7 days of purchase, 50% refund before Aug 23rd, no refunds after Aug 23rd.
